The Indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Part 2

There are two basic positions that have been widely accepted by faithful, sound members of the Lord's church when it comes to the way the Holy Spirit dwells within the Christian. (1) The Holy Spirit dwells representatively in the Christian through the Word only, and (2) The Holy Spirit literally, personally indwells the Christian; with the understanding that He in no way makes further revelation of truth nor interferes with free moral agency.
